ABERAERON Town Council organised a week of clean-ups around the town to coincide with the national Big Spring Clean championed by Surfers Against Sewage.

With several starting points around town from river walks, Square Field, North and South beaches and the Cwmins, councillors were joined by various organisations and individuals including pupils, staff, parents and governors from Aberaeron Primary School.

Pupils, led by the school eco committee, are working towards gaining a Platinum Flag by undertaking activities and projects within the school itself and the local community.

Town mayor Cllr Rhys Davies thanked everyone who turned out.
