An Aberystwyth man will be sentenced in Crown Court this week for inflicting grievous bodily harm.

Lee Bird, of 2 Gwel Afon, Penparcau, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 14 March.

The 20-year-old pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm on George Newton in Aberystwyth on 15 April last year.

Magistrates committed the sentence to Crown Court.

Bird is due to be sentenced at Swansea Crown Court on 22 April and was remanded on unconditional bail until that date.
