A 78-year-old man from Llandyfriog has been fined by magistrates after he appeared in court to admit assault.

Geraint Evans, of 4 Bro Dyfriog, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 16 October.
Evans pleaded guilty to assaulting Peter Oakley in Llandyfriog on 15 March this year.
Magistrates handed Evans a fine of £120.
He must also pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85 as well as a surcharge to fund victim services of £48.
No compensation was ordered.
