A Llanwrda man has been banned from the road for 17 months for refusing a breath test.

Mark Power, of Rhandir, Llansadwrn, admitted failing to provide a sample of breath to police at Cwmtydu on 31 July when he appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 29 July.

Magistrates disqualified the 52-year-old from driving for 17 months and handed him a community order to include 60 hours of unpaid work and rehabilitation activities.

He must also pay £85 costs and a £114 surcharge.
