LAMPETER Town and Llanybydder had a good run-out in a Boxing Day friendly at North Road which was won 33-12 by the hosts.

Visitors Llanybydder opened the scoring with a converted try but the Maroons bounced back with a try of their own.

Both sides produced some impressive rugby to entertain the sizeable crowd and after a fairly even first half, Lampeter shaped up as the stronger outfit to run out comfortable winners whilst Llanybydder were competitive until the end
