PORTHMADOG Golf Club men’s team lost in the first round to Tredegar Park in Welsh Team Championship held at Morlais Castle Golf Club held over the weekend.

It was tough luck for the five team members but they had done amazingly well to qualify for the finals.

Results: Mike Jones lost 3&2; Steve Thomas won 1 up; Elfyn Griffiths lost 2&1; Gareth Jones-Owen won 5&4; Elgan Gwynedd lost 3&2.
