ERYRI YFC held its Winter fair competition at Ty Newydd, Llandegai.

Ysbyty Ifan club took home the Talmignedd Shield for the second year running.

Clubs and members from all across Eryri gathered to compete in stock judging, lamb trimming and Christmas tree decorating competitions hosted by Dyffryn Ogwen club, and with the results announced by Merfyn Owen county chairman.

“It was a brilliant day of competing,” said county president Glyn Owen, “and we had a warm welcome from the Harper family and members of Dyffryn Ogwen club, who were hosting the event.”

Guto Roberts, vice-president, said: “The Winter Fair is a great day of competing for the members and brings them back to the grass roots of Young Farmers, giving them life skills in handling stock and craft making. It’s great to see all clubs competing and different members coming out on top.”

All members who came first in the competitions will now go forward to represent Eryri YFC at the Royal Welsh Winter Fair in the young farmers section at the end of this month.
