THE grateful mother of a three-year-old with a rare genetic condition has paid tribute to local hospital staff.
Angharad Rowlands, mother of “happy, chatty and loving” toddler Iago, thanked medical staff at Dolgellau Hospital after they held a ‘Williams Syndrome Awareness Week’ recently, due to Iago’s condition.
A rare affliction which typically affects 1 in 18,000 people worldwide, Williams Syndrome is a genetic condition that is present at birth and can affect anyone.
Williams Syndrome is characterised by medical problems, including cardiovascular disease, developmental delays, and learning challenges.
