Madam,

I was bemused to read of Plaid Cymru’s campaign for an improvement to pupil safety on the main road at the entrance to Porthmadog’s Ysgol Eifionydd.

After all wasn’t it the Plaid Cymru-run Gwynedd Council that placed the life and limbs of our children in jeopardy by disposing of a well-proven, and safe, road-crossing lollipop warden on that exact site?

Is this a case of selective memory or is it just blatant electioneering in the run-up to May’s council elections?

Either way it has the subtlety of the proverbial bull in a china shop.

Yours etc,

A L Roberts, Awel y Grug, Porthmadog.
