Pupils have dug deep to help a young Pwllheli hairdresser as she battles cancer.
Ceri Haf Sansome, from Llanbedrog, was a hairdresser in Pwllheli until she was forced to give up work due to a cancer diagnosis.
Ceri was only 23 when she was diagnosed with lymphoma last year after suffering with months of breathlessness and heart palpitations.
A fundraising drive ‘Cronfa Ceri’ was set up by the local community to support Ceri as she travels to and from hospital to undergo gruelling chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
When Ysgol Botwnnog’s Year 11 pupils heard what Ceri, a former pupil, was going through, they decided to help.
They raised a staggering £910 from their annual coffee morning, which they presented to a very grateful Ceri this week.
She visited the school to receive the cheque and thank the pupils and everybody else who have supported her during this hard time.
