ABERYSTWYTH town councillors have agreed to pay £3,000 as part of Aberystwyth’s bid to become a UNESCO City of Literature.

Plans were hatched last year to try and win a bid for the status for Aberystwyth, with a partnership established to move the plan forward.

At a finance committee meeting in December, town council members backed a plan to use £3,000 to employ a person to develop the town’s application, with each partner contributing the same.
