Police have arrested a man on suspicion of animal cruelty.

North Wales Police (NWP) said the arrest is in relation to an incident last Thursday.

A spokesperson for NWP Gwynedd South said: "A 31-year-old man from the Pwllheli area has been arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty following an incident on April 20th.

"The man has been bailed with conditions whilst investigations continue.

"We continue to support the investigation into this matter which is being led by the RSPCA."
