PLANS to erect a telecommunications tower in Y Ffôr, near Pwllheli, have been earmarked for approval.

The plans submitted by Conderstone Telecommunication Infrastructure Limited and Vodafone Limited include erecting a 17.5 metre-high monopole on land near The Warehouse on the industrial estate in the village.

A Gwynedd Council planning officer states in a report: “Having considered all the relevant planning matters including the local and national policies and guidance, it is not believed that this application to erect a telecommunications mast is unacceptable and that it complies with the requirements of all the relevant policies.”

Gwynedd Council’s planning committee will make a final decision on the application on Monday, 16 January.
