FEARS for the safety of schoolchildren on the approach to their school have inspired over 100 people to sign a petition calling for action.

Holly Griffiths, of Tywyn, has urged Gwynedd Council’s Highway Department to install safety measures on a “dangerous” stretch of road leading to Ysgol Craig y Deryn which her child attends.

Holly, pictured walking children to the school, has created an online petition entitled ‘Make our journey to and from Ysgol Craig y Deryn safe’.
