Madam,
I was intrigued to see Elin Jones’ bad bus journey form Aberaeron to Cardiff described as a “compelling” reason for spending over £1bn on reopening the Aberystwyth to Carmathen railway line.
It’s certainly a compelling argument for better buses or a nationalised bus service.
It isn’t a “no-brainer” for reinstating a service that was uneconomic before mass car ownership and requires a great big tunnel under Pen Dinas.
Yours etc,
Tony Jones, Blaenplwyf, Aberystwyth.
