Garden party

THE Emlyn Hotel in Newcastle Emlyn is helping Macmillan Cancer Support by hosting a Midsummer’s Evening Charity Garden Party, to raise funds to provide care for families and individuals in the local area whose lives have been touched by cancer. The event will be held at the hotel to launch their recently landscaped riverside terraced garden, and will take place on Saturday, 18 June, from 6pm to 10pm. There will be a glass of Prosecco on arrival for every guest and a buffet will be available for guests to enjoy, plus a raffle with prizes which include a romantic evening meal for two at the hotel. “We are very honoured to have music pupils from local Ysgol Gyfun Emlyn giving special opening performances, and then the ever popular Lucy Jones will provide musical entertainment throughout the evening,” a Macmillan spokesperson said. “In the event of rain, the event will be relocated to the Emlyn Hotel function suite.” A spokesperson for the hotel said: “We are very excited to be hosting this unique event for Macmillan Cancer Support.
