Camera Club

MEMBERS of the club were treated to a very privileged evening on Thursday with Pembrokeshire photographer, Kersten Howard.This was Kersten’s first presentation to a photographic club, in which he showed projected images from his latest book, Under Celtic Skies, taking a journey from Amroth, around the coast to Strumble Head, and over the Preseli Hills, sharing with the members his experiences’ and the intricacies and techniques, used to create his stunning images. Though members were familiar with the locations, they agreed that they had not seen them portrayed so beautifully , and much was learned from the experience. The next meeting of the club, on 18 February, will be with another talented photographer, with the welcome return of Mike Cullis, from Tenby. New members always welcome.New Quay & District SocietyFOLLOWING a lively and interesting meeting in January on the workings of Ceredigion council, the group looks forward to the February illustrated talk on the Wales Air Ambulance. Aneurin Roberts will speak at 2pm on Monday, 15 February at the Bowls Clubhouse.
