A brave schoolgirl has had 12 inches of hair cut off to donate to charity in memory of her aunt.
Lorna Dunn travelled to Beachcombers hair salon in Tywyn on her eighth birthday and asked if she could have 12 inches of hair cut off her long blonde locks.
She has decided to donate the hair to the Little Princess Trust, a charity that makes wigs out of real hair for children dealing with serious illnesses.
Lorna also raised £830 for the Welsh cancer charity, Latch.
Lorna’s mum, Lauren Paterson, said: “Lorna has asked to cut her hair!
“She is donating her hair to Princess Trust, who will use it to make a wig for a little girl suffering from hair loss.
“Lorna is named after my sister, who sadly lost her battle against Leukaemia 28 years ago.
“The charity Latch was an amazing support to our family at that difficult time.
“I thought it would be a nice opportunity to try and raise some money for them also.”
