An astronomical phenomenon known as the Super Flower Moon will appear on 26 May - and we have some of the best places to enjoy it.
When is the Super Flower Moon and how can I see it?
On May 26th at around 11.32pm, the third Supermoon of the year (Supermoons occur when a full Moon is at its closest point to earth) will be visible in the UK sky.
That date marks not just a supermoon, but also a blood moon, owing to a lunar eclipse.
What better way to marvel at the mighty moon than in one of Wales’ International Dark Sky Reserves?
Dark sky status is awarded to exceptional quality nocturnal environments that have minimal-to-no light pollution, making them the perfect spot for stargazing.
Snowdonia boasts Dark Sky status, and there are several Dark Sky Discovery Sites within the Cambrian Mountains area in Mid Wales.
