LEISURE centres in Lampeter and Aberaeron will reopen this week.

The two towns’ leisure centres will reopen on Thursday, 3 September, but with a scaled-down offering initially.

Lampeter Swimming Pool will reopen on 7 September.

With Plascrug Leisure Centre in Aberystwyth currently being used as a Covid testing centre, leisure services will also be offered at Penglais Sports Hall from 7 September.

Leisure facilities at Cardigan Swimming Pool will reopen from 14 September, with the town’s leisure centre remaining set up as a field hospital for the time being.

Those wishing to use facilities at Aberaeron Swimming Pool are asked to contact the pool directly on 01545 571738.Cardigan Swimming Pool users are also asked to phone the pool on 01239 613632Service users for other locations in the county are asked to book in advance by emailing [email protected], with telephone bookings taken from 4pm and at weekends.

Only cashless payments will be accepted.

No changing facilities will be available for fitness suite users and club users. There will be no water fountains so users are urged to bring their own water.
