THE funeral of Kiara Moore will take place at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, Narberth, next Tuesday (27 March) on what would have been her third birthday.
The little girl was pulled by police officers from a mini in the River Teifi last Monday, a couple of hours after her parents had reported the car missing.
Despite being flown to hospital by air ambulance, Kiara could not be saved. Police later confirmed that the car had not been stolen.
In a Facebook post today, Kiara’s parents, Jet Moore and Kim Rowlands, said they wanted the funeral to be "a happy occasion" in celebration of their daughter’s life, asking those planning on attending to dress "bright and beautiful".
A party, possibly with a bouncy castle and other attractions for children, will subsequently be held at the Ffostrasol Arms in Ffostrasol.
Mr Moore and Ms Rowlands also announced their intention of setting up a trust to enable people with mental health issues to enjoy outdoor pursuits in Kiara’s memory.
