AN investigation has been launched following reports of a teenager being approached by a man in a van in Machynlleth.

Dyfed Powys Police confirmed this afternoon that enquiries are being carried out after reports that a teenager was approached by a man in a white van in the Machynlleth area on Thursday evening, 5 August.

A police spokesperson said: “Police received a call on Thursday evening, August 5th 2021, reporting that a man driving a white van had approached a teenager in the Machynlleth area.

“The teenager ran home.

“Enquiries are being carried out to identify and locate the vehicle and the man.
