Barmouth will boast an ice rink and a Christmas market as part of the town’s festive celebrations, but there will be fewer lights in the town.
The latest meeting of Barmouth Town Council discussed the town’s plans for the Christmas period.
Cllr Matthew Harris told the council how, following a meeting with ice rink organisers, there was support for bringing it to the town.
The rink will be on the market car park on Saturday, 21 and Sunday, 22 December and will operate from 10am.
Barmouth Christmas market will also be held on Saturday, 14 December, with free parking. At noon that day, the Santa Dash 5km run, walk or push to raise money for South Snowdonia Search and Rescue Team will get underway.
Cllr Harris added: “Due to the ice rink, the town will have fewer Christmas lights. However, if the rink is a success then there will be a consideration to have both the rink and extra lights next year.”
