AWFUL weather has “hampered” the new Tywyn Hospital Redevelopment Project, meaning the building is now approximately three months behind schedule.
Originally, the hospital building was due to be completed in November with service provision beginning at the start of 2016.
However, a series of delays has caused the project to fall behind, mainly due to the inclement weather.
A spokesperson for Betsi Cadwaladr said: “The recent bad weather has further hampered the completion of the external works at Tywyn Hospital.
“Handover cannot be made until these are completed, which is currently expected to be in February.
“However, we are in discussion with the services that will be provided at the hospital, so that they will be up and running as soon as possible after the handover of the hospital has taken place.”
