Staff and owners at Haven’s Greenacres Holiday Park have raised £1442.17 for Pwllheli RNLI.

Greenacres’ annual charity football match at Porthmadog Football Club in June raised the cash.

Every year staff team together, dust off their kit and boots, and compete against the park’s chalet and caravan owners. This year’s match, which Greenacres park staff won 3-1, was well-attended and even saw the RNLI mascot Stormy Stan storm the pitch at half time!

Jamie Colquhoun, Sales Manager at Greenacres who also took part in the match, said: “We support the RNLI because it’s important that the sea is a safe place for all our guests here at Greenacres”

Caroline Jones from Pwllheli RNLI who also attended the football match, said: “Fundraising is the lifeblood of our operations – 94 per cent of the RNLI’s funding comes from donations such as these.

“Every donation helps ensure our crews have the training, equipment, and support they need to save lives at sea.

“Without the generosity of our supporters, we simply wouldn't be able to continue our vital work; we are extremely grateful to the staff and owners at Greenacres.”
