Ceredigion council has launched a consultation over plans for horse-drawn carriages to taxi people across Aberystwyth promenade.
The proposed scheme will see the “licensing of horse-drawn hackney carriages” being allowed by the council, with a designated route between New Promenade and Marine Terrace in Aberystwyth.
It will involve changing the current taxi rank on New Promenade to permit only horse-drawn carriages between the hours of 6am and 6pm.
The council consultation into the new plans opened on Monday, 2 August and will run until 31 August.
Anyone who wants to make representations is urged to do so on the consultation website at www.ceredigion.gov.uk/your-council/consultations/horse-drawn-hackney-carriage-policy
