An exhibition at Stiwdio Maelor in Corris contains work by several artists, including printmakers from Aberystwyth.

The exhibition, i gam o gam, opened last Friday, and features printmaking, photography, and weaving, with work from local artists and from around the UK.

A visit to the exhibition is also a chance to have a look around Maelor and to see the new print room, weaving room and darkroom.

The exhibition will be open every Saturday and Sunday until 20 February, and if you can’t make a weekend, you can make an appointment to visit on a weekday.

In 2020, Kip Gresham donated two prints to Maelor with the suggestion they be sold or raffled to raise money. The prints will be raffled, along with writer Julie Hagerty’s book, Choosing Eros. Julie wrote the majority of her book at Stiwdio Maelor and has donated a copy as a raffle prize.

Email [email protected] to purchase tickets. Maelor is also happy to receive donations towards its dedicated technique spaces and the return of artists.

The raffle will be drawn on the last day of the exhibition, 21 February. Tickets are £5 each or three for £10.

Maelor is also hosting the research project, We live with the land / The land as other - https://www.cyd-fywartir.com - which involves having selected groups of artists come to Maelor. This project will result in exhibitions in June at the School of Art, Aberystwyth University and at Stiwdio Maelor.
