A schoolgirl suffered a fractured skull after falling out of a moving bus in Tywyn.
The seven-year-old was airlifted to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor after she fell from an emergency escape door while on a bus travelling along Pier Road at around 3.53pm on Tuesday, 5 March.
Officers from North Wales Police attended and the girl was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
Thankfully, her injuries are not believed to be life changing or life threatening.
A spokesperson for the Wales Ambulance Service added: “We received a call at approximately 4pm to an incident on Pier Road, Tywyn.
“We responded with a community first responder vehicle, an emergency ambulance and an air ambulance. One patient was conveyed by air to Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor.”
Police are appealing to anybody who may have witnessed the incident to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting reference number X030347.
A Gwynedd Council spokesperson said: “We are aware that a young child was injured in an incident on a public service bus in Tywyn.
“Ysgol Penybryn has been in contact with the family since then and are providing appropriate support to other pupils in the school who may have been affected by the incident.
“We send our best wishes to the pupil, who is continuing to receive treatment at Ysbyty Gwynedd.”
