FORMER Cardigan powerboat champion Jonathan Jones has been honoured with a plaque in his hometown.
Mr Jones, 60, was a four-time world champion in the 1980s and ‘90s before becoming a TV pundit and boat builder.
Community group Hoelion Wyth raised money for the plaque, which was unveiled by Ceredigion MP Ben Lake on the quayside near the River Teifi on Friday.
Giving his reaction, Mr Jones said he was ‘gobsmacked’ by the honour.
