A Llanon road traffic campaigner has hit out at the ‘farce’ which has seen a traffic warning sign completely obscure a bus stop sign in her home village.
Sue Slocombe has demanded an explanation from transport chiefs having taken photos of the sign situated opposite Heol Non.
“The traffic warning sign completely obliterates the bus stop sign,” she told the Cambrian News.
“Imagine you are coming from a southerly direction, past Chapel Street on the left and just a bit further on is the traffic warning sign.
“The bus stop sign has been placed behind this – on the same pole – hence no one can see it!”
In an email to the South Wales Trunk Road Agency, she wrote: “The pictures below are self-explanatory and I would like your department to explain this, as I actually watched this farce unfold approximately two weeks ago.
“Perhaps you can let me know if this is to be a permanent arrangement or merely a temporary one. Either way, the bus stop sign is currently useless.”
