A COMMUNITY lottery fund has donated a three-figure sum to a Dolgellau primary school.

The Dolgellau Sports & Community Lotto Chwaraeon a Chymuned Dolgellau was pleased to present Ysgol Gynradd Dolgellau with a £105 cheque towards new sports equipment.

The school is now the fourth organisation to successfully receive funding from the Dolgellau Lotto, following on from Cylch Meithrin Dolgellau, Sesiwn Fawr and the ECG appeal at Dolgellau Hospital, who all enjoyed similar investments.

Organisers of the local lottery are urging other schools in the Ysgol y Gader catchment, or any eligible scheme in the Dolgellau area, to apply for funding as money is available following four successful rounds of 10 weekly lottery draws.
