Bala’s new £10 million school opened its doors to pupils for the first time this week.
Ysgol Godre’r Berwyn provides education for pupils aged three to 19.
As well as major upgrades to the former Ysgol y Berwyn site, the campus includes a public library, dedicated arts resources including a dance studio and a theatre with a digital projector to show films.
The investment on the site has been jointly funded by Gwynedd Council and the Welsh Government as part of the 21st Century Schools scheme.
Cllr Cemlyn Williams, Gwynedd Council’s Cabinet member for education, said: “It’s great to see that the area’s children are starting to benefit from the fantastic resources available at Ysgol Godre’r Berwyn.
“There has been much anticipation in the Bala area for this important project and the significant investment in the children’s education.
“The opening of the school will mean a significant improvement in the learning environment for the area’s children with additional resources and facilities on a modern site that provides a 21st century learning environment.”
