St Mary’s Women’s Fellowship

ON 9 May, Jessie opened with the Lord’s Prayer; 11 members attended the meeting. Our speaker was Sophie the veterinarian. She discussed some very interesting cases that she had recently dealt with. She went on to tell us about the old cat clinic held at the practice she works in, Milfeddygon Dolgellau. It is a yearly health check for cats seven- years-old plus. A wise precaution for cat owners. Sophie discussed common symptoms to look out for in cats, as early diagnosis is the key to keeping our cats healthy. She then went on to talk about com-mon complaints in rabbits, and what to look out for. Finally she told us about some of her experiences with sheep during lambing time, including breech and caesarian births. Irene gave the vote of thanks. Thank you once again Sophie for such an informative and interesting presenta-tion. Bethan won the raffle. Our annual end of term meal was held a little early this year to accommodate the speaker’s timetable. Sixteen attended the meeting.A lovely meal and excellent service at Y Sospan, Dolgellau. Many thanks to Rachel and staff.Jessie thanked us for our attendance at the coffee morning on 14 May; we again made a nice profit to go towards the speakers charities. Sixteen attended the meeting. Irene, Wendy and Lillian won the raffles.
