RFC Girls

DOLGELLAU RFC’s newly formed girls rugby team have won the national AEG Grassroots Rugby competition to win a training session with rugby legend Scott Quinnell. They had already received a momentous amount of team kit and a new AEG washing machine for winning the the first part of the competition. The Marian girls were previously one of 20 teams country wide to win the kit and also gain entry into the next stage of the competition.Amongst the bundle of full Canterbury rugby strip which consisted of shirts , shorts and socks, were 20 boot bags, water bottles, two ball bags and 20 balls. Along with the kit the club also won a top of the range AEG washing machine which has been put to good use consid-ering this winters weather conditions.To win the competition the girls had to forward a team photograph and in true Mawddach Valley tradition entered a stunning parody of Bread of Heaven. The girls are now looking forward to rugby legend Scott Quinnell visiting the Marian Ground to give them a coaching session this summer.
