Viewers will see tonight if people from Ceredigion and Gwynedd manage to earn themselves a place in the Guinness Book of Records.

Clog dancer and children’s TV presenter Tudur Phillips, who lives in Garn Fadryn, Pen Llyn with wife Anni Ll?n, will try to break his own world record for extinguishing candles with heel clicks.

Tudur said: "People make records to be challenged, so who better to try to break it than myself?

"It is impossible to train specifically for this task, but I have worked on my fitness and jumping, so hopefully the skill is there to do more this time.

"It’s great to have such a different world record, and of course for people outside Wales to see."

Dorian Thomas, Llew Bevan and Rhys Davis all attempted three darts records in Crymych.

Dorian, who plays in the Singles League in Cardigan, originally introduced Llew and Rhys to the darts world.

Unfortunately all attempts for the first two records were unsuccessful - but what happened when they went for fastest darts Round the Clock?

Elgan Pugh, a log chopping/sawing expert from Bala attempted to break numerous records, including the fastest time to chop 10 logs in one hit with 7.56 seconds. He also went head to head with Alun Jones from Denbigh, to break the record for the most log slices sawn by hand in three minutes.

Elgan has plenty of experience, having won the British Timbersports Championship for the 5th time in a row in 2019, and has competed at an international level.

Be a part of the excitement by watching Guinness World Records Cymru 2021 - a special programme which captures a score of uniquely Welsh record breaking attempts on S4C tonight, Wednesday, 31 March, at 9pm.

S4C’s entertainment commissioner, Elen Rhys, said: "This is a great opportunity to showcase our culture to the world. To achieve all these creative records really puts Wales on the world map.”

"There is more to come as well, with Shane Williams’ special challenge to break the record for cycling across Wales coming to the screen in mid-April."
