A Tywyn woman has been fined for driving a car near Aberystwyth without insurance or MOT.

Llanelli magistrates heard on 2 July that Llinos Furneaux, of 30 Glan Wendon, was caught driving a Ford Focus on the A487 at Tre’r Ddol on 2 December last year.

Checks showed the car had no MOT certificate and was uninsured.

The 58-year-old was handed six penalty points by magistrates, and fined £230.

She must also pay £90 costs and a £92 surcharge.
