An Aberffrwd driver has been banned from the road for three weeks after being caught using a mobile phone while behind the wheel.

Llanelli Magistrates’ Court heard on 8 January that Denny Thompson, of Felinfawr was caught driving while using a mobile phone in a Volkswagen Golf on Third Avenue in Penparcau on 12 September.

Magistrates disqualified the 33-year-old from driving for 21 days.

Thompson was also fined £40 and must pay £110 costs and a £16 surcharge.
