An Aberystwyth man who stole a cafetiere, a top and a wetsuit from an Aberystwyth shop has been fined.

Jack Melford-Colegate, of 3 The Albion, St James’s Square, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 8 May.

The 20-year-old admitted stealing the items from Charlies on Cambrian Place on 14 June last year.

Melford-Colegate was fined £80 and ordered to pay £39.99 in compensation.

He must also pay £85 in prosecution costs as well as a £32 victim fund surcharge.
