A MAN who crossed into the wrong lane and forced an ambulance to swerve to avoid a collision has been banned from driving from six months after pleading guilty to driving without due care and attention.
Andrew Stainton, of 258 Burringham Road, Scunthorpe, drove without due care and attention on the A487 north of Aberarth on 24 May, Llanelli magistrates heard on 1 December.
While driving on the road in a BMW, Stainton was “travelling on the centre lane markings and an oncoming ambulance swerved to the nearside to avoid a collision,” the court heard.
The 45-year-old was disqualified from driving by magistrates for six months and also fined £120.
The court heard the disqualification was obligatory “due to repeat offending.”
He must also pay costs of £110 as well as a surcharge of £34.
