A Bow Street man caused £2,000 worth of damage by smashing the window of an Aberystwyth solicitors office.

Malcolm Heayberd, of 20 Foel Goch, appeared for sentencing before Llanelli magistrates on 26 September.

The 39-year-old had previously pleaded guilty to damaging the window of Welch & Co Solicitors on Mill Street on 14 March.

Heayberd was handed a community order to include 150 hours of unpaid work.

He must also pay £2,092 compensation, £85 costs and a £114 surcharge.
