A Borth man has been charged with the attempted murder of a pensioner who was out walking his dog in the village.

David Kenneth Fleet, 21, has been charged with the attempted murder of an unnamed 71-year-old local man who was stabbed while walking his dog on Thursday, 28 February.

Fleet has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

The victim was airlifted to hospital after the attack and is still in a critical condition.

Fleet is due to appear before magistrates in Haverfordwest today.
