Gwynedd residents worried about the rising costs of fuel bills are invited to an event in Tanygrisiau this weekend.

Representatives from Gwynedd Council, Y Dref Werdd, Nyth, City Energy and Menai Heating will be at Ysgol Tanygrisiau from 11am to 4pm tomorrow, Saturday, 19 February, to offer help and advice on energy matters.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions and receive details about energy, and about the grants available for boilers and home insulation through Nyth and ECO.

Advice will also be available to help with energy costs, and local people are encouraged to go along to speak with experts about cutting energy bills, how to heat homes better and reducing carbon footprint.

Residents will also be able to exchange bulbs. Take old used bulbs and receive an LED one in its place.

Councillor Craig ab Iago, cabinet member for housing and property said: “At a time of huge increases in energy bills, we firmly believe that we should do all we can as a Council to help the residents of the county.

“That’s why we have been working with our partners to organise this event, in order to provide support and advice on how to make the best use of energy.

“I encourage residents, local and beyond, to come and see us at Tanygrisiau. We look forward to seeing you and helping you in whichever way we can.”

All are welcome.
