Merched Soar

A female choir started in the Tregaron area, has donated over £200 towards the Eifion Gwynne Memorial Fund after their first concert.

Merched Soar was started after founding members decided in October that they wanted to meet the need for a female choir in the area, quickly attracting almost 40 members.

The choir’s first concert was held just before Christmas at Bethel Chapel in Aberystwyth with an evening of Christmas carols, raising more than £200 toward the memorial fund for popular former Aberystwyth Rugby Club player Eifion Gwynne.

Merched Soar has members travelling from across Ceredigion including Aberystwyth, Aberaeron, Lampeter and Llanilar and meets every other Tuesday night at Bwlchgwynt Vestry in Tregaron. Anyone who would like more information can contact Manon James on 07854 680410.
