CYLCH Meithrin Glantwymyn’s Parti Pasg wil be held on 17 April from 1pm till 3pm, at Y Plas. Entertainment by Ben Dant with Easter egg hunt, sea-themed fancy dress, games, sensory play, and refreshments.

Perfume Talk
DYFI U3A – university of the third age – will be presenting a talk by Jackie Windsor Lewis ‘The History of Perfume’ as the main feature of its next monthly meeting at the Machynlleth Bowling Club on Friday, 16 April, at 2pm.
Dyfi U3A meets at the Bowling Club on the third Friday of each month from 2pm to 4pm.
Comedy
IN one month’s time, the 10th annual pilgrimage for comedy fans to mid Wales takes place.
The last six shows of the comedy line-up are now on sale. The English language line-up is complete, and the Welsh comedy programme will follow this week, as well as the full children and family programme.
The theatre programme welcomes back festival favourites Rachel Mars, Molly Naylor and Sh!t Theatre as well as debut works from Wales’ leading new lights Carys Eleri, Connie Orff, Jonny Cotsen and Bethan Dear.
The free-to-all music programme in the Big Top includes returning Mach favourites such as The Spook School, Martha, Islet, Ratatosk and My Name is Ian, alongside festival debuts from Withered Hand, ICHI, The Gentle Good, Threatmantics, Truckstop Honeymoon and The Mudd Club.
Gerddi Bro Ddyfi Gardens
MEETING for the first time at the Machynlleth Hub, the old shop on the Bryn-y-gôg housing estate, members of Gerddi Bro Ddyfi Gardens heard from secretary Eleanor Lamoure that £566, which included a cheque for £150 from the town council’s mayor’s fund, has been paid into the group’s bank account as a result of wonderful public support at the recent 10th anniversary celebrations at Plas Machynlleth.
Members were thrilled with the news that Gerddi has been awarded Big Lottery three-year funding of £99,000.
Lead co-ordinator Angela Paxton said how greatly she appreciated the hard work of all concerned.
Arrangements were ongoing, including those in case of inclement weather, for the group’s Seedling Saturday on 13 April.
Members agreed to undertake various commitments to ensure the day’s success. And on 16 April, ‘Make a willow bird feeder’ with Pippa Scott, from 11am to 3.30pm at the community gardens.

MOMA Exhibition
THE Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) Machynlleth is staging the Theo Crutchley-Mack exhibition ‘The Lost Whaling Stations of the Sub-Antarctic’ from 13 April till 22 June.
The MOMA galleries are open Monday to Saturday, 10am-4pm. Entry to the galleries is free.

Bowlers Meet
THE keenly awaited new season will be preceded by squad meetings and followed by a full bowlers’ meeting on Friday, 12 April, starting at 7pm.
Machynlleth will get their Montgomeryshire County League Division One campaign underway at home to old rivals Llanidloes on 16 May while, in division two, Maglona travel to near neighbours Carno.
Machynlleth ladies, meanwhile, will take on Montgomeryshire County Ladies’ League champions Berriew on Tuesday, 21 May.
Climate Procession
ON Saturday, April 20, organised by Machynlleth Climate Rebellion, there will be a climate change procession, starting and ending at Plas Machynlleth, between 11am and noon.
Then, following the procession, go and enjoy a fair in the Plas community hall from noon until 5pm, which will feature talks, stalls and live music.
The day’s theme is climate change and species extinction. Stalls are free. Donations towards running costs are most welcome.
Immersive Sound Evening
IMMERSIVE Sound Evening, hosted by Inner Resonance, at St Peter’s Church, Machynlleth, on Friday, 12 April at 7.15pm.
Using singing bowls, gongs, drum, voice and other instruments, IR will create a journey of soothing sounds to immerse you in.
All welcome, join in and help weave a relaxing and meditative soundscape. Make yourself as comfy as possible, so bring what you need to lie down (or sit) – a thick camping mat, blanket and pillow.
Donations £5 per person on the door to cover basic costs with surplus donated to charity.
