Beer Festival Committee
THE Llanbedr Beer Festival committee has presented a cheque for £150 to the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Manchester Royal Children’s Hospital.
The money was collected at the Christmas lights switching on ceremony in the village last year and was in recognition of the treatment provided at the hospital to a local youngster suffering from leukaemia.
This year’s Christmas lights switching on, organised by the Beer Festival committee, will take place on Friday, 8 December.
It is expected that there will be the usual carol singing, Santa’s grotto and entertainment as well as food stalls.
A collection will be made in aid of Ysgol Hafod Lon additional needs school in Penrhyndeudraeth who will be sending representatives to perform the switching on.
