Merched y Wawr, Bermo
CYFARFU’R gangen nos Fawrth, 21 Mawrth. Croesawodd Llewela yr aelodau i’r cyfarfod ac anfonwyd cofion at Gwyneth sydd yn yr ysbyty wedi damwain yn ei chartref. Derbyniodd yr aelodau fag siopa i ddathlu’r aur (hanner can mlwyddiant Merched y Wawr) a thynnwyd lluniau ohonynt gyda’u bagiau. Hefyd, gwerthwyd sgwariau raffl cenedlaethol Carthen Melin Tregwynt. Darllenodd Megan adroddiad o’r pwyllgor rhanbarth gafodd ei gynnal yn Llanelltyd y nos Lun flaenorol. Cafwyd gwahoddiad i Gangen Nancol nos Fercher, 5 Ebrill, i noson draddodiadol Gymreig yng nghwmni’r Band Arall. Croesawodd Megan, Jane Wil-liams y gwraig wadd o Ddyffryn Ardudwy i’r cyfarfod. Cyflwynodd Jane ei hun i ni fel yr oedd yn ei dyddiau cynnar yn ferch fferm Cors y Gedol, Dyffryn Ardydwy a’i dyddiau coleg yn astudio a chreu crochenwaith. Mae’n awr yn ddarlithydd mewn crochenwaith yng Ngholeg Meirion-Dwyfor yn Nolgellau. Cawsom hefyd hanes difyr iawn ganddi o’i hamser ar y rhaglen deledu boblogaidd ‘The Great Pottery Throw Down’ pan greodd waith canmoladwy iawn. Daeth a rhai o’r cyrmyrch oedd wedi eu creu at y rhaglen gyda hi a hefyd gwaith arall i’w arddangos a’i werthu. Rhoddodd gyfle i bawb greu ei grochenwaith bach ei hun a chawsom andros o hwyl yn baeddu ein dwylo wrth geisio siapio’r clai i ‘bot pinch’.Ar y diwedd aeth Jane a’n gwaith adref i’w roi yn yr odyn i sychu. Diolchodd Megan yn gynnes iawn iddi am ei hamser a’i hymroddiad. Paratowyd y baned gan Megan a Mair ac enillwyd y raffl gan Iona.

AT the monthly meeting the president welcomed the members and guests Christine Hemsley, Annette Evans and guest speaker Margaret Smith.Margaret’s topic was “Nepal 2015-Royal Kathmandu Valley Trek.”The pictures she took on her 10-day trek were amazing, featuring the Nepalese people, birds, plants, creatures and the breathtaking scenery of the area.Six days after her return home, on 25 April 2015, 9,000 people died during an earthquake in Nepal. At the end of her talk Margaret showed some pictures of the devastation left by the earthquake in the area she had just returned from. Janet Davies thanked Margaret for her very interesting talk.
