A dirt bike club has raised £3,000 for a Blaenplwyf man with a rare condition, to help him gain a little independence.
Members of the Dyfed Dirt Bike Club held an enduro event this year which raised £6,000.
It was decided to donate half of the money to the Gruff Morris Tandem Fund.
The money will help purchase a specialist tandem that will allow Gruff, his brothers and mother to enjoy the outdoors.
Gruff has Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome which means he was born with only half a heart.
He also has a rare chromosome condition called Jacobsen Syndrome which affects his learning and speech and causes low muscle tone which makes physical activity hard.
Gruff is the son of the late Prys Morris, an active Dyfed Dirt Bike Club member who sadly passed away last year of cancer.
The club also donated £1,500 each to the Welsh Air Ambulance and St John’s, organisations which are both close to the hearts of DDBC riders.
