THE best businesses in Aberystwyth were saluted at a prestigious awards ceremony on Friday.
The Aber First Awards are organised by Menter Aberystwyth to acknowledge best business practice and the winners and runners-up in 10 categories picked up their awards at the ceremony held at the Morlan Centre.
The event was compèred by Ioan Guile and entertainment was provided by Gypsy Swing Duo.
The Cambrian News is the main sponsor of the awards and managing editor Bev Thomas presented an overall award of excellence to the Treehouse.
Mrs Thomas said: “The Cambrian News is pleased to be the main sponsor of the Aber First Awards. There were many worthy winners and runners-up this year.
“This is a great awards event, helping to raise the profile of business in Aberystwyth.”
Among the various other winners were No 21, Agnelli’s, Polly’s, Mind, Calon, Hinterland, Musicfest and Arad Goch.
