An Aberystwyth takeaway shut down by council officers yesterday has had its closure notice terminated following another inspection.

A premises closure notice was issued to G-One by Ceredigion council’s public protection team yesterday for failing to comply with the latest Covid-19 regulations.

But the notice has since been terminated after public protection officers received assurances from the business that face coverings will be worn by staff members at all times when working in the public area, the council announced this afternoon.

However, a premises improvement notice will remain in place at the takeaway.

The business will be monitored until such time that public protection officers are satisfied that the required improvements are maintained, the council said.
