A TYWYN food factory is to move into the old Halo factory in the town, creating 50 new jobs.

Brighter Foods was established when Halo moved operations to Newport in South Wales, and now employs 150 people at the site, turning over £20 million a year.

The company’s CEO Robin Williams has this week vowed to make a multi-million pound investment, buying the former Halo site, which will see Brighter Foods have three production lines.

The company says the move is designed to meet growing demand from their existing customers and to service new customers who are attracted to the company’s growing reputation for innovation and outstanding quality and customer service.

The move is is also part of Brighter Foods’ strategy to mitigate the risk of Brexit by manufacturing products bound for the UK market in the UK, and products bound for mainland Europe with partners abroad.

Mr Williams said: “It’s exciting to think what we could achieve here in the next 12 months as we grow, and how we might transform the old site for Brighter Foods and for Tywyn.”
